Threads, Trials, and Triumphs

Completely off topic.

Spammers' computers should die a slow, agonizing death! But really, are there actually people out there with nothing better to do than to post stupid comments (and web links) on people's blogs? I mean, come on! My blog hardly even has a readership, so why target me? Idiots.

No sewing news at this point. I'm at that awkward point where my work year and my summer school classes overlap, so I'm back to work full time, but I'm still trying to finish up the two classes I'm taking. Makes for some mean stress levels and absolutely no sewing time. Thesis should be done sometime in October, so look for Dickens Fair sewing to start up about then.

I read your blog! I just don't post often, but I check almost every day. :) I graduated in May and I have found myself back in school this week, heading for an MBA, so I've been a bit busy, too. :)

Woohoo! I remember when I first started college, the idea of getting my MA seemed nearly impossible. I had this one professor who kept telling us every class session that we really were capable of going on to graduate school--I mean, he really drilled it into us. Now that I'm nearly finished, I'm so glad that I went through with it, and even more grateful for that professor. Plus, I'm not a major proponent of higher ed., so I'm really glad to hear that you are going for your MBA. Congratulations and good luck! :)

Ithilwyn
Welcome to the epic adventures of "Two-Day T." While I generally like to plan my costumes well in advance, I find myself often inspired to make a costume last minute. And I usually manage to pull it off, sometimes making elaborate costumes in just one weekend; hence, the nickname. My crowning achievement was making two complete jedi costumes, Padme's picnic dress, and a kinsale cloak in just two weeks for Episode II WHILE working full time!

Bio: I go by Ithilwyn on the web, so if you see me around, say hi. I've been sewing most of my life and have been costuming for the past five years. In my un-spare time I teach high school and attend graduate school.

Historical Periods: Can't really commit, but my current obsession is with the Victorian natural form period.
